I bought some BMR, BioMed Realty, for my retirement account this morning. Its a health care REIT. I talked about it and HCN sometime last week (I think on the stock lists category). BMR focuses on acquiring, owning, leasing, managing and selectively developing office and laboratory space for lease to life science tenants, including biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, scientific research institutions, government agencies and other life science entities.

Here is a little update from AG Edwards:

A.G. Edwards initiated coverage of BioMed Realty Trust Inc. (BMR.N: Quote, Profile , Research) with a “buy” rating and a price objective of $33, citing attractive potential share price appreciation among other reasons.

The brokerage said the company is expected to gain from the healthy demographic trends in the U.S. healthcare market and expanding research and development budgets.

The solid portfolio in seven key biotech markets gives the company the ability to grow organically while remaining active on the acquisition front, A.G. Edwards said in a research note.
