I posted about being in the inverse etfs FXP and SDS, but I didn’t post that I took medium sized short trade at the Rydex 10:45 window in the inverse spx, inverse ndx, and inverse rut funds. It was an ultra risky play considering the NDX was already down 6% at that time. I was [...]

This morning I went into the indexes heavy adding to my Friday shorts with markets up considerably higher than where they are now (Dow +148, NDX -20, RUT +7.85, SPX +11).
Bought:
QID, SMN (tried to buy both EFU and FXP - seeing now the trades didn’t go through - damn FXP was good for 7% off [...]

This chart was posted yesterday after the big DAILY down move in the market.
This is how the same chart looks today.
Good call?
What sucked:
EJ not working I had to dump it for a 3.9%ish loss. ABAT which I thankfully got rid of yesterday for a loss as well around 5% or so.
What worked:
Amazing market [...]

Afterhours all three of these companies reported earnings and it looks are going to cause a nice drop tomorrow morning. This is good for me since I added to my shorts. I wish I didn’t get rid of the intraday QID position today.
I forgot to mention that I dumped PWAV taking about a 1% gain [...]

The money I threw into the index longs yesterday was removed this morning for a decent gain. When the 3:55 started rolling around, I went back in with the cash I took off the table from the morning trade. I’m back into the NDX and RUT heavily. I’m not expecting fireworks tomorrow, but next week [...]

Worked:
Being long the NDX and RUT. 6% for the NDX as it broke out to new highs. I’ve been riding this trend for months. Around 32% gain off the bottom for my index trading account. RUT did 3.9% for the the leveraged funds fans.
XLF calls - May 27s. Excellent action today in the XLF. I [...]

Posting this 2am my time. Such dedication.
Worked:
CPST broke the 3 dollar level. Closed up around that range. New 52 week high. I profiled CPST on Dec 8th 2007 as a breakout candidate when it was trading at $1.35 at Clean Green Stocks.
If you been following my trading of it here, I’ve been in and out [...]

Vivendi is buying Activision. Well they are creating a new joint company and merging their gaming division with Activision, but will be wholly owned by Vivendi called Activision Blizzard. In case you are not familiar with Blizzard, they created World of Warcraft which is the biggest online PC game in the world.
Anyways, I bought the [...]

Looks like my SNDK purchase yesterday might pop today.
Citi Investment Research reiterated “Buy” ratings on industry leader Intel Corp., Germany’s Infineon Technologies AG, communications chip maker Broadcom Corp. and flash memory maker SanDisk Corp., among others.

I’m going to need more than the 1.73% pre-market bounce though.
AMTD is popping 5.6% pre-market and the ask is at [...]
This is a change for me since I’ve been long the indexes. I made the flip earlier today to the short side. Shorting NDX and RUT for a day trade.

I often check out the message boards on Yahoo for stocks I’m interested in, just purchased, or currently own. You can often find out some useful info from some of that stocks message board gurus. However, you more than once will have to ignore complete and utter garbage as well, but as you become experienced [...]

NDX crossed 1900 and now is testing 1900 as support from above. If support holds the NDX and the market in general can run today.
The QQQQ calls were up as much as 13%. They should be up much more if the market can get some traction.

Yeh, I sold SMDI today and now have decided to buy it back. The pattern is still good and I don’t want to miss it when it runs.
I noticed ONNN is popping today.

With the Dow, RUT, and SPX either at or near all time highs, why not the NDX? Well the NDX won’t be getting to its all time highs, but I think 2000 is very doable. I think possibly before the summer of 2007.
On a weekly chart, the NDX has done zippo from November 2006 till [...]
