My EMA program recommended this stock a few days back and I picked it up. A great win.

I noticed you seemed to use SMAs quite a bit.

… Forgive me but I’m curious to hear from other investors… is your system profitable?

    I use ema’s, simple ma’s, etc.

My one gripe of the way I trade is patience. I don’t want to miss the next runner and I don’t want to wait around to see if said stock is going to run. If it doesn’t run I want to find one that will. I’ve been bit in the ass on this several times.

Is my system profitable? Its not really a system, but a way to find stocks. Yes it provides profitable trades. Highly Profitable.

I don’t give buy/stop points like some people do, but most of the stuff I post here does well. Sometimes very well. I do make crap trades though, but they rarely have anything to do with stocks I find and post here. ie my recent Q puts buy. Anything out of “system” tends to be high risk. Q puts today, JOYG on Monday, GOOG on Friday, etc.

One thing you will also notice is that I find these runners early. Most of the time StockRake is the only stock/finance blog on the net talking about a stock before it runs. ONT for example. CRIS as well. How about OFI?. Now they are on everyones radar.

The reason I ask is because my system recommended it on 4/19. I think we use much the same formulas.

I’m very new to trading, and so. You appear to be trend trading.

At what loss do you sell a long position? I have a stock around 10% down, and I’m trying to figure out how much “heat” I can stand.
