I Bought CROX
Well, I really bought Crocs, the shoes. My wife and I both. However, I have been scouting buying CROX the stock because of its cup and handle formation. In fact that was the reason for buying the Crocs shoes in the first place, was to check out how they are selling in the stores and to see if they are really as comfortable as some say.
I did some thorough walk testing, and I did get some rubbing iritation on my foot, but I was doing ALOT of walking. The irritation would not be there with socks on. Crocs seems great for the beach, the boat, working at a restaurant, hospitals, hanging out, driving etc. Not great for 4 hours of mall walking. They are great for times when you are “on your feet without alot of sustained movement.” I like these shoes alot. Crocs are ultra lightweight. Lighter than my ultra-thin flip flops.
Anyways, the stock. CROX broke out today on heavy volume confirming the breakout. Today is actually the buy day, but I wanted in before today, but hesitated by 1 day. CROX is coming out with a Disney line and a collegiate line. These will be big winners imo. All the kids at the mall were wearing the Crocs. The Disney themed shoes should expand that segment further. I particularly like the restaurant/bar/hospital segment. When my wife was in a recent car accident we went to the emergency room and I noticed the nurses had Crocs on as well.
This stock is going higher. CROX IPO’d at 30 and we are breaking out at 32.15. I think we could be seeing 40 shortly.
