Long ideas:
Solars: STP, ESLR, DSTI, HOKU. As crude rises, solar should rock and roll.
ETFs: EEM, SSO, QLD - Long the market now and want to get more long.
Semis/Tech: WDC, KLAC, ONNN, TXN - Semis turning around here, there are more semis that haven’t been made that could run here.
Oil/Gas: DRQ (Which looks fookn outstanding here), HNR which has a massive cup and handle formation dating back a few years. I haven’t researched the fundamentals on any stocks yet in this list, and HNR tends to not MOVE much, but it appears a breakout is in the works, but that breakout doesn’t have to happen in the near term. MCF, SLB, NE, RIG, OXY all look good.
Also higher oil/crude is a good situation for alternative fuel companies, like DAR.
Coal: SSL - A clean coal co. that I profiled way back here when it was trading in the low 30s is looking like it wants to run. SSL is working on a new closing weekly high. Obviously, I like JOYG, BUCY for the coal machinery part, and for straight up coal, BTU, ACI, FDG, or JRCC for the high beta small cap coal play.
Farming: DE - Could be a swing trade if it cracks the top around 92. If DE breaks up, TITN is going to rock higher. I love TITN.
Dryshippers: I love the Dry bulk shippers, I talk about em all the time here. DRYS and TBSI are my favorites and both look good and constantly on my hit list.
Steel: Steel stocks are still ripping and I’m wondering if its gotten too far in front of me or if theres room left to ride. Maybe AKS is on its way to 100 (its 65 now). My favorites are SIM, SID, and GGB. Btw they are all international steel plays.
Alright thats more than enough. Feel free to add your own in the comments or to critique these.
