Stock List 426

April 26, 2007

I’m going to start categorizing all these stock list posts under the category “Stock Lists.” What I’ll do is title the lists “Stock List 426″ for example. The month of April = 4 and the day of the post 26th. Doing my stock lists this way will help people find the stock lists easier. Right now they are all over the place.

So without further ado…

LTS – A high flyer during early 2007, looks like it could fly again. (See my recent post that included LM as well)

ZRAN – Making a move.

REV – Starting to move. REV is a big holding amongst the CNBC Million Dollar Portfolio challenge players.

ARBA – It looks like its flagging here and could clear its recent 2007 highs.

KOG – I think I mentioned this one before. If I haven’t, its made my lists previously.

STKL -

HH – I’ve owned this before at different times over the last 2 years. Once saving myself a huge drop and the second time I missed the run up. I just did a search for HH on StockRake and found this post. I would have loved to have hung to my call in CHTR at 1.14 back then – Currently 3.27. I digress, HH looks like it could move.

SCU – This made my list yesterday, bought thought it was too cheap. Another nat gas exploration/driller moving up while everyone else is watching other sectors.

COR -  Broke upwards on the daily chart. Golden cross coming. They recently submitted some data to FDA. Price cleared both 50/90 ma’s on weekly chart. One interesting note is that up volume has picked up in 2007 over previous years.

IRBT -  This is the crappiest stock on this list, but it might be making a bottom scraping move up.

UDRL – Looks like one of the better stocks on this list. A nat gas drilling contractor.

Natural gas plays are stealthily moving higher.

Here are some other Drilling plays that have PE’s under 10.

Symbol – PE Ratio – Name of company/comments

HERO – 6.26 – I recently bought this for a family member. HERO is one of the cheapest. Cramer talked about HERO recently.
RDC – 6.99 – Rowan Companies

BRNC – 7.29 – Bronco Drilling

ATW  – 7.46 – Atwood Oceanics

ESV – 7.69 – Ensco International

UNT – 7.73 – Unit Corp

GW – 7.75 – Grey Wolf

THE – 7.8 – Todco

UDRL – 8.03 – Union Drilling (Listed above)

PKD has come across my screeners over the last few weeks, but it should be noted that its the most expensive driller in terms of P/E ratio at 12.98.  Still not that high. However, if PKD is moving it looks like the sector is probably moving and I’m seeing signs of that in the charts of the oil stocks listed above. The drillers seems to be the cheapest sub sector of the oil complex.
