I decided to put an index short on at the close in both the RUT and NDX. I’m looking for an extra volatile day tomorrow starting with, hopefully, a gap open lower and then a move lower after that. However, by the end of the day maybe a hammer candlestick. As long as I get [...]

A couple of thoughts on some stocks that are possibly making moves here.
1. The Dry Bulk stocks are acting like crap and I was obviously early on EXM. In fact, I’ve lost my buy signal. It is now a value stock. Due you due diligence on TBSI, DRYS, EXM, GNK. This may be related to [...]

My head like every trader’s head is still reeling from the moves we have had every day this week. Today I saw the largest range and largest one day move in terms of points in the RUT ever to have occurred - it may be in percentage too, but I’m not going to go research [...]
AAPL calls were puchased today. In my original post I misquoted my entry price and then posted in the comments the real entry.
In @ 8.3
Out @ 11.7
Just keeping honest.
For a short term trade I bought some AAPL October 125 calls @ around 9.10. Just playing for an oversold bounce.
I was in cash heading into this morning’s nice up move. I went short with the index funds as the market rose and sold those AAPL and RIMM calls for nice gains today as those two stocks popped. I added to those short positions at the end of the day. You know there is talk [...]

I sold my AAPL and RIMM calls into the strength this morning for a gain of 20% in the RIMM calls and a gain of around 12% in the AAPL calls. AAPL is acting squirrelly, but I still expect AAPL to close around that 10:00 am bar of around 152.15. For all you Apple Heads, [...]

Well the shorts worked out great today. The RUT was good for 7%, and the NDX was for 4.7%. I like to eat whoppers and we got one in the market today.
Yesterday I posted about selling out of the ETF’s, I didn’t exactly sell everything. I had a small QID position as well as a [...]

This chart was posted yesterday after the big DAILY down move in the market.
This is how the same chart looks today.
Good call?
What sucked:
EJ not working I had to dump it for a 3.9%ish loss. ABAT which I thankfully got rid of yesterday for a loss as well around 5% or so.
What worked:
Amazing market [...]

Afterhours all three of these companies reported earnings and it looks are going to cause a nice drop tomorrow morning. This is good for me since I added to my shorts. I wish I didn’t get rid of the intraday QID position today.
I forgot to mention that I dumped PWAV taking about a 1% gain [...]

Well on the week to week basis we got the rebound I was expecting.
On a week over week basis, the RUT gained 19 points, and the SPX gained 21 points. However, things like the UYG did 14.6%. So certain items this week exploded while others were just good.
I flipped to a small index SHORT position [...]

This post is for Friday’s trading action of March 28th, but this is being posted on March 29th.
Worked:
Not jumping in this morning as the market was up about 1-2%. I said if we gapped down or the market saw morning weakness I would be a buyer. The smart thing was not taking the trade regardless [...]

Being long! Helluva day today. The only way it gets better was being long at the close yesterday. Something I considered if you read my bullsh post yesterday. Well by the tone of my post yesterday you could tell I had a boner to be long, but I didn’t say it specifically. I did get [...]

Worked:
JOYG - March 70 calls flipping for 29% this morning.
Sucked:
Everything else.
AAPL - Sold at breakeven. AAPL was doing great this morning even in the bad tape, but everything was sold mid afternoon and AAPL went with it.
NOEC - Down from my buy point a little bit. What I’m looking at with NOEC is the greater [...]

Worked:
AAPL - Continue to hold it. News out tomorrow on AAPL that they are releasing developer tools that will allow people to build apps for the iPhone. This is a big deal. Lets see if the market interprets it this way as well. Up 1.75%
AMZN - Out at 65.34 for a 3% gain.
AMAT - Continued [...]
