The RUT is now trading with a 3 handle!
Today is the flush most people have been waiting for.
Watch the volatility indexes, and see if anybody cries on CNBC. If nobody freaks out on TV, then this unfortunately is not overwith.
Then tomorrow maybe…maybe we have an intraday reversal. Maybe we even have a rally right out [...]

Argh…So I pause CNBC and go take the garbage out and I come back in and press play and pick up my laptop computer, reading and listening to the tv forgetting that I’m behind. I’m probably about 5 minutes behind real time.
I’ve been watching the futures hours before and knew it was going to be [...]

Well the indexes continued to move higher and significantly so today for my two favorites - the NDX and RUT. 1.5% for NDX and 4.5% for the RUT. The RUT / small caps continue to exhibit strength over other indexes. I didn’t participate in it though today because I thought we might selloff. Wrong.
The things [...]
Glad I took my CYD off now. The market is having a monster intraday reversal. I don’t think I mentioned it, but I was long yesterday at the close in the indexes and took them off this morning. PHEW! I was getting pissed off about the trade too with the market ramping up beyond the [...]

I thought I’d get back into the top 2%.
KRY and CHTR. KRY has been kicking butt lately.
What would be your picks for the CNBC challenge?

Being Long. I sold out of index funds this morning for a 1% gain. I forgot to post that.
ZL - Moving higher. Chart getting better.
BUF - Closed higher today.
CHTR - 7% gain on the day. My options actually could have been sold for 100% today, but I decided to hang on. Again in hindsight I [...]

Its still crazy you have to do this well and NOT be even close to the upper tier. However, I am proud to move from top 4% to top 2% :). I missed my trade so thats why I have a large cash position.

Its sad you have to do this well and you’re still not even competitive.

In case you don’t know, I’m short in index funds and hold long TWM and QID. The shorts are working nicely with gains of over 2% right now.
Wouldn’t you know it TOA is starting to make a move after I sell it yesterday. I own it in my CNBC portfolio :).
Glad to have gotten out [...]
I like to nail it. Get your mind out of the gutter. I like to nail the trade with the right timing. I figured today would be up and I got in short early. I know Cramer likes to say, “I know my first buy will be wrong.” He also says you are arrogant if [...]

Why does CNBC have to be so corny with its Dow Countdown ticker? The market continues to make them look stupid for rolling out balloons and welcome wagons whenever they get so wacky. The market made CNBC look foolish in 2000 and hopefully the market doesn’t do it again.
