Bought:
SRS (already short URE), SMN, Short LIZ
Covered PAAS short
Short and covered NEM (panicked for no reason) I would be shorting GDX, NEM, and a bunch of other miners/gold stocks here.
I also bought SSO and UYG near the open but quickly dumped after the ISM report for very slight loss.
Sold:
CBI, CPST, DAR, CX all for double [...]

What I’m doing now is creating a morning post and then just commenting under that post all my trades for the day. Its kind of like twittering my own posts. I’m finding it easier to do it this way.
Today was a flat market, but I was out trading like a banshee raking in gains. This [...]

Bought BG, OXY, DRYS, DAR and sold DRYS Nov 12.5 puts.
I so wish I bought SOLF instead of YGE. Still might be a nice running from here. QCOR trying to breakout today - be careful on that one.
DRYS reports Monday and if GNK can crush earnings I’m guessing DRYS can too.
TBSI, EXM, EGLE, & OCNF, [...]

On June 19th James Swiatek questioned my sell in CPST. A stock I caught the whole way up made a lot of money off of it and then abruptly got out of it, never to return since. You haven’t seen me mention CPST or DAR two stocks I loved. Other than my brief shorting attempt [...]

Took 30%ish or more on the ACI and BTU calls. Very nice 1 day bounce there.
Still holding the CVX calls, but considering dumping those taking the small loss and being happy with the big gains in the coal stocks.
Went short with QID and upped my index fund short position this morning. Just sold QID though [...]

I didn’t get to make a post yesterday due to a debilitating migraine.
What I did yesterday:
Remained in cash from yesterday’s morning sell.
I bought more CROX Jun 10 calls.
Today:
Bought UWM, went long the indexes this morning, sold most of the index positions this afternoon and will look to buy in heavily on a down open. I’m [...]

Everything was working today.
CPST broke out today on very big volume to another record 52 week high. If you’ve been reading SR since September of 2007 you know I like this stock.
The indexes had a great day today. 3.6% for the RUT and another 3.6%ish for the NDX. Nice.
My QQQQ calls which had their premium [...]

OIL short is looking really nice and bought more EDEN today. A little fertilizer company I’ve mentioned before. Awesome product btw.
CPST also breaking upwards today to new 52 week highs. How much do I love this stock?
Sold DAR today. Love the company, but hate the way its acting today on a great upwards tape. I’ll [...]
I’m hanging on to every long idea I have right now which includes the double beta index etfs and funds as well as QQQQ calls.
CSCO options went to shite as well as the MSFT ones.
New purchases in DAR and GU are doing fantastic today based on DAR’s great report. This was an additional position in [...]

Worked:
Being long the NDX and RUT. 6% for the NDX as it broke out to new highs. I’ve been riding this trend for months. Around 32% gain off the bottom for my index trading account. RUT did 3.9% for the the leveraged funds fans.
XLF calls - May 27s. Excellent action today in the XLF. I [...]

Worked:
Sticking with the longs.
QQQQ calls were good for 6% in the early action. In @ .82 out @ .87 (damn morning dip). About 10 minutes after I sold them, I saw that the market was going down, so I rebought the same QQQQ calls @ 1.02.
MSFT had a huge day today and I think [...]

Sucked:
Not being on board for this:
Essentially my 3-4% loss in AKNS caused me to lose the trade above or something similar.
Worked:
Being long heavy in the NDX and RUT. 3.4% and 3.7% respectively. Out @ 76.88 was in @ 71.44.
GOOG - Took 17% gain on the overnight trade.
JOYG breakout. I sold the breakout to raise cash [...]

Posting this 2am my time. Such dedication.
Worked:
CPST broke the 3 dollar level. Closed up around that range. New 52 week high. I profiled CPST on Dec 8th 2007 as a breakout candidate when it was trading at $1.35 at Clean Green Stocks.
If you been following my trading of it here, I’ve been in and out [...]

Bought:
AKNS @ 7.88 a little bit of a rushed trade. I should’ve saved the powder, but Solars were and are running today, but AKNS was not. I figured it might play catch up as its daily chart looks great.
CPST and DAR both smoking higher to new 52 week highs.
Sold:
I didn’t do it, but I got stopped out [...]

Worked:
Being long the NDX and RUT for a 6% gain.
DRYS option calls good for 47% overnight.
CPST, JOYG, DAR, KOL all moved higher. These 4 are either at or above 52 week highs.
GILD had great earnings, but no AH action yet.
Sucked:
Not being heavily long in the indexes. To be fair it was very unclear to me [...]
