The pressure is building under the foot of a weekly divergence in the SPX, RUT, NDX, COMPX and the other sectors that have been smashed, namely commodities, financials, and real estate.
A relief rally typically happens when this setup is showing its face. We had a rally off the 3rd week of October low based on [...]

I know it sounds fucking ridiculous, but I knew when I got trapped in the long trade, that it was going to be one I’d have to wait out quite awhile. I’m ok with that.
I’ve been making the mistake of diddling around with these little stocks all on the long side. However, there has been [...]

Bought SOLF @ 7.36
Bought UYM @ 24
Look for those higher tests in the indexes I’ve been blabbering about.

I’m putting that trading account money to work on a gap down tomorrow and it looks like that is happening due to another slaughter in the Asian markets. I think the Lehman CDS auctions tomorrow are important and that uncertainty will be gone from the market around lunch time. Today was the washout and tomorrow [...]

Essentially I made one terrible trade which got me caught on the Thursday downdraft. Now I’m looking to get short and in fact did today in the indexes. However, it looks like there might even be the beginning of that bounce I was talking about happening yesterday. That is ok, because I will ladder into [...]

Basically everything I said in my last two posts holds true still for me. I cut my longs this morning completely in the indexes and got out with a “daily profit”, however, it was loss overall. I rebought the indexes and am looking for something else to sell into tomorrow.
Stocks that worked great today for [...]

Indexes rallied today giving me 2.6% in the RUT and 1.5% in the NDX. That was nice, but we really haven’t made much progress to the upside yet. I say yet, because its possible that is coming in the next few weeks. Or I’m incorrect and I’ll eat my words.
During these past two weeks of [...]
Today was boring. A big drop on the open followed by a big rally, then a late day big drop. Feeling exhausted yet? I didn’t do anything as far as the indexes went, but I did buy a few stocks. Next week the Federal Reserve will say their piece. To me it looks like the [...]
A little gap up across all indexes this morning. Wish it was a larger gap up though as it would be an easier trade to make by going short. I’m going to sell my long though, not sure I want to try shorting yet so soon. If we get another reversal day to the downside, [...]

Afterhours all three of these companies reported earnings and it looks are going to cause a nice drop tomorrow morning. This is good for me since I added to my shorts. I wish I didn’t get rid of the intraday QID position today.
I forgot to mention that I dumped PWAV taking about a 1% gain [...]
I forgot that I didn’t post on Thursday, but I went long the indexes rather heavy at the close. Markets appear severely oversold and ready for a bounce. If for some chance we are down in the morning it will likely be a big intraday buying opportunity.

There is some serious volatility happening due to quad witching. I’m getting burnt on the KWK posiiton which I just cut for a 5.3% loss. Two days of trying to trade it equaled two losses.
SRS also filling its recent gap down to 92, but I’m hanging on.
Short in the indexes and getting hit today on [...]
Bought:
Indexes - NDX and RUT heavy eod, but put on a half position this morning that actually turned out profitable because the market closed even higher. Its quite amazing to me that the market closed up strong on a Friday, considering how terrible the market has acted lately, buyers could have walked away and let [...]
Being long. I cashed out my index long today with a big loss for the week. Its in the neighborhood of +10%. I’m still up in the neighborhood of 20% for the year in my index trading accounts. Drawdowns suck no matter what, but when I take a look at where the major indexes are [...]

Being long (just for the morning action). Even though the NDX closed higher than my 10:45 window, the RUT closed lower by 4pm so the combination of the two indexes yielded more profit for me in the morning than at 4pm. That was a good trade worth about 1.5%.
CBST - Had good earnings after the [...]
