I put AXCA on my 2007 stock pick list on January 1st this year. You couldn’t buy it till the 3rd where it traded around 13.70ish. The buyout offer today puts them at 22.7. Thats about 66-68% gain. I would close out that trade right here. Hmmm value investing does work :).

Markets are screaming higher today.
SPLS - Staples is up another 5.4% today based on Goldman Sachs upgrade raising them to the top of their retail buy list. Thats 22% in two trading days off the bottom. I hate being early.

Over the last two days TKF has had an enormous bounce. It has to be related to the big move TKC (Turkcell has had lately). I’m down about 2.5% on the TKF trade.

Looks like my SNDK purchase yesterday might pop today.
Citi Investment Research reiterated “Buy” ratings on industry leader Intel Corp., Germany’s Infineon Technologies AG, communications chip maker Broadcom Corp. and flash memory maker SanDisk Corp., among others.

UPS is experimenting with some electric vehicles from ZAP in the Peteluma, California branch for delivering small packages. Peteluma is where ZAP’s headquarters are.

BCON just took off. I mentioned it last night on Clean Green Stocks as an idea for today. However, its popping 8% as of this post, but was up over 11% near the open. Tough trade to take. Maybe if it drops into the close it might be worthwhile.

I flipped my index shorts back over to the long side and covered up my QID midday. Hopefully I didn’t just get whipsawed.
Alcoa seemed to have good earnings while announcing a monster sized buyback. Should be good for the large cap indexes tomorrow morning. Good thing thats what I went into. Long S&P 2x funds.
