I didn’t get to post some trades made today due to a 3 hour wait at early voting. You can’t stop the bandit when he’s getting jerked by Sally Field on his way to Texarkana.
Bought SSO, QLD, and USD
QLD @ 28.19, 28.43
SSO @ 25.07 and 25.75
USD @ 15.69

I posted earlier that I bought QLD, UYG, and UWM. It turned out to be near the exact bottom of the day - sweet.
Bought QLD @ 29.17 | Sold @ 33.96 gain of 16.4%
Bought UWM @ 21.88 and @ 22.71 Still holding
Bought UYG @ 9.29 | Sold @ 10.39 gain of 12%
I held onto UWM [...]

With today’s spectacular short in the indexes (heavily) this morning I ended up with an average gain of 4% across buying the inverse SPX, RUT, and NDX today. I cashed out of all short positions at the close.
The buy this morning in ACI went to a loss, but it got worse after I let it [...]

Since I went to 100% cash yesterday, I missed this morning swell. It would have sucked giving back 5% in the RUT and another 3% in the NDX, but it didn’t happen and gains are preserved. The best trade today might be at the close so I’m sitting tight and waiting to buy. I will [...]

The big dollars were positioned in the SPX (9.4%), NDX (7%), and the RUT (8.4%). I’ve been heavily short for a few days and hung in there through the little fake out that happened last week. It is so important to be on the right side of days like today because if you are not [...]

Markets hate when Government intervention occurs. Especially non-telegraphed intervention. You could make the argument that it was rumored that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac-ster would be taken over, but everybody was unsure if it would actually happen and based on how their stocks have been trading over the two weeks prior to this, you would [...]

The market popped huge and the whole move was done by 10am. Then the selling began. Like a fool or at least I feel that way right now, I thought it was the breakout I was waiting for. In fact, it turned into yet another head fake. However, this round the picture changed on a [...]
I forgot that I didn’t post on Thursday, but I went long the indexes rather heavy at the close. Markets appear severely oversold and ready for a bounce. If for some chance we are down in the morning it will likely be a big intraday buying opportunity.

A smattering of trades today….
Looks like it was a good move to drop the DDM when I did.
HYGS was the trade of the day getting 28% on the move. Immediately out of the gate it was a race between CNEH and HYGS to see who would be up more by the close. CNEH was rocketing, [...]

Huge drop today yielded one of the better days of the year for myself and other shorts. Many trades worked really well today. However, I would point out one poor decision of cutting my index shorts this morning because the market dropped lower and closed on its lows. One could say that I shouldn’t complain [...]

In staying with my plan I bought some morning weakness by using the free cash from yesterday and bought the SPX. An up close today will likely see me cashing in and taking profits. I expect volatility the rest of the week and then finally want to be long right before the Fed meeting.

I was slow on the trigger, or I should say my wife was using the laptop and I there was a “delay” with my sell order….
Hence less gain on the trade. I’m still happy with 85% gain though. The trade was worth a little more than 100%+ though by being early rather than late.
*I put [...]
Took a 50% gain in the SPLS call options I bought on Nov 5 for .20. I got out today at .30. Really ends up being around 40% minus commish.
Bought more RUT this morning. I really struggled with just taking it all off and looking to wait till Monday, but I think the possibility to break resistance on the SPX and a higher move in the RUT is possible. Maybe a blow up move today, scare the shorts, and then slight selloff into the [...]

Just bought a little more UVE today. I only have one position of UVE in one account right now. Was up 17% now back down to 14.5% with this fresh buy.
