I don’t know of any industry where a person walks this line everyday.

Think of an inventor. This inventor creates a revolutionary new razor. The inventor shows you this razor and tell you how its going to work and why its better. You say, nope it doesn’t look special, it doesn’t look like its comfortable to hold, or that you are happy with what you shave with now.
Status of inventor = Dumbass.

The inventor ignores you and continues forward. A year later, the inventor has spent 300k and only has a prototype to show for it.
Status of inventor = Dumbass.

The inventor presses on with another year that has gone by and eventually gets the product on the market on a small scale.
Status of inventor = 0 line.

The inventor’s product gets bought out by Proctor and Gamble for 30 million.
Status of inventor = Genius.

The inventor was a dumbass when he wasn’t winning, and became a genius when his invention became a success. Every entrepreneur and every trader has lived through this, but traders, depending on their style, deal with this more than others.

I’m a genius today because my UNG double bottom trade has worked so far. Believe me, there were people on StockTwits that were laughing at this trade when I made it not unlike what an inventor goes through when showing their idea to someone. My status at that time was Dumbass. A dumbass until profitable and that is what the calls I opened that day have become – profitable. Currently I’m probably at the 0 line. If UNG continues up I’ll be on the Genius side of the line.

Which side of that line are you on today? this year? Try to be on the genius side more than the dumbass side.
