I was reading this thread over at SOH about traffic comparisons between SOH, Evil Speculator, and IBankCoin. IBankCoin is the blotted out name at the top right. I wanted to see where StockRake.com stood in relation to that chart. I’m guessing the chart below that TK posted is of Unique Visitors so that is the metric I copied from my Analytics account to compare.

SoH chart:
tktraffic

StockRake.com stats:
absoluteunique

The difference is that I actually get a lot of search related traffic for certain things like inverse etfs, Brazil Stocks, etc. While those sites traffic are more repeat visitors due to their community. StockRake.com has almost nil community to it currently.

I know I blog more when I’m trading poorly as it is my outlet to figure out what I’m doing wrong. My blog traffic dropping slightly is probably a combination of factors.

1. I often skip stock blogging on Fridays and Weekends. However, I’ve picked that back up lately.
2. The summer. The rich wall street types who read my blog are off in Barbados and St Barts where internet access is scarce thus creating that dearth of visits. :)
3. Because this site used to be on a piece of shit server.

What I learned from this?
1. My traffic is pretty decent.
2. The community here is lacking, but we knew that already. Except for a few people that have commented over the years – I owe you all beers.

**I posted a boatload of potential winners in the post before this one.
