SMDI – I just sold this two days ago on a mental stop. I must’ve been mental. Well I did have a 9% loss so thats why I got scared out of the position, however, the chart that got me into the stock (inverted head and shoulders – see this graphic.) I should’ve looked at that chart before I sold. SMDI tested the neckline over the course of the last two days before saying sayonara and deciding to move upwards. 19%+! I would’ve been up 10%. I got the call right, but traded wrong.
CHTR – Well I got the move I wanted, but it wasn’t enough. Plus I knew I should’ve bought the ITM calls rather than these OTM. I probably just pissed this cash away. Very similar to the BKHM trade. Fortunately they are both for a very little dollar amount. If you the game craps, these type of trades are sort of like YO 11’s. They are 1 time bets where you place a little bit of money on for leveraged upside surprise if you are lucky. I should just stick with the pass line and max out my odds. In this case it would have been the ITM calls as they were up about 25% today. Again another case of getting the call right, but traded it wrong.
