Sucked:

Not being long for today’s move when I’ve been trying to go long every other day. Believe me I’m pissed off about it, but this one is my fault, I fell pray to listening to some noise that we are going to crash. Noise strikes again.

Worked:

Shorting QID – Up over 2%. I got short the QID when the Dow was around 226 around where I posted the Midday Update @ 1:30pm. Inside one hour the market started to fly. Up 5.3% since I posted. A very nice return. I held it overnight.

SJT – Only up a little on it.

AMAT – I added to my position today. Up 4%.

RIMM – Bought it @ 99.85. Liked AMZN or AAPL here as well.

Typically after big moves like this one we can get an additional up day if there is enough buyer interest. One with a gap up included where most of the days range is traded above the gap. Sometimes you get a gap fill sometimes not.
