Being long! Helluva day today. The only way it gets better was being long at the close yesterday. Something I considered if you read my bullsh post yesterday. Well by the tone of my post yesterday you could tell I had a boner to be long, but I didn’t say it specifically. I did get out of my shorts though yesterday and went long this mornig. I managed 4% in both the NDX and the RUT. Thats a back to back trade of 7% and 8% in those indexes. I’m happy with that.

CPST - Came back to that $2 level. They can’t scare me out of that one…Not yet at least.

AMAT - AMAT is the beast stock for the new year. I’ve been saying it now for a few weeks. 

VLO - I got into VLO shortly ater Midday Update. I bought April 50 calls. In @ 2.7. I heard the crack spread dropped most in whatever time frame and hae been waiting for an opportunity to get into VLO for awhile now. The refiners have been in freefall with this oil breakout, but I think there is more momentum left and OIL could trade down to 100 per barrel. Giving VLO a lift. I also bought VLO straight up as well.

Sucked: 

SJT - I did get scared out of it today and I said I wouldn’t sell it. After analyzing the USO/OIL/UNG I think there is more room to the downside. Today was just a snapback. Therefore I took the opportunity to sell into it. With the sell I took a 3% loss in SJT. I want to get back in though on the pullback.

I held my index longs today and am expecting a little more tomorrow morning. I’m actually a little pissed I missed the move in AAPL today it was too easy.
