Worked:

Not being heavy long. I cut back on my index longs by about 80% yesterday at the close. That preserved most of the gains made over the last 3 days.

CREE – Popped nice today. It was a good move getting back in when CREE broke upwards. Up 7% on the fresh buy. Since this was a fresh buy its up 7% from that point, however, I sold CREE at 27 with around a 20% loss. CREE then popped the next day and I got right back in. So altogether I would be down about 13% on CREE right now.

CAT – Was up a little bit today. Chart looks good.

GILD – Although it was down I read this press release on GILD: These guys like it too. We became a fan on the 24th. I like CAT equally to GILD here. I also plan to get BACK into GILD if there is an opportunity tomorrow morning.

Sucked:

Not being short.

I swapped my index long position to the short side today heavily. ORCL disappointed and is down 8% AH and we have some econ data tomorrow morning.
