The rally getting going on April Fool’s Day!

Worked:

Everything. Market ripped today and gave me 8.26% in the NDX and 6.6% in the RUT. I was NDX heavily weighted so that also favored my position.

CPST – Closed at a new high up 8.5% today alone. Up 14% on the trade.

CAT – I sold my CAT positions today in my trading accounts, but held CAT in my IRA. From a trading perspective I sold into the move higher, but I want to be a buyer on a dip IF I GET ONE. If the stock doesn’t dip within 5 days remind me, because I want to get back long. Got out @ 79.61 and 79.82 for gains of 3% and 4% gains while being up on the IRA position of 4% . This stock is going higher and I’m getting back in, but signs point to a possible short term small drop for CAT. Timing that small drop though is probably not the smartest trade. We’ll see.

AMAT – Popped 4.8%. Up less than 1%.

GILD – Up 5%.

POWI – Up 1.5% today, but down 2% on the trade.

INTC – Up 1.9% on the trade, up 3.7% today.

Sucked:

DAR – Down 4.7% today….on a day like today?!

I held my index longs in full overnight. Today was an easy day to just let everything ride. Lets see what happens tomorrow morning. I might look for a place to take some profits.

I’ll be making stock lists soon because the market is probably at a turn here.
