Momentum stock PNTR. I sold it early and locked in 2.5%. I think its going higher and I shouldn’t have gotten out. I made a profit so it worked.
The gold trade. I’ve been riding the gold wagon now for a month waiting for this thing to move. GSS was up as much as 10%+, but closed up 9%. Up 16% on my GSS position. Watch out for GSS it could make a new 52w high tomorrow.
NXG is lagging a bit, but it is one of the best values in the Gold sectors (there are many though) and I expect it to move as people realize it. The Greenblatt scan at MSN screener agrees with me, or do I agree with it? The Greenblatt scan is bigger than me.
The oil trade. I’ve been talking about oil, but haven’t bought an oil ETF. I do however, own calls on RIG and those are up 7% and I expect them to run.
Moreover, the XES, Oil and Gas ETF, saw its highest daily volume bar, in its short history of trading mind you, today. Now this something one can get into and get tied more directly to the price of oil than say the OIH. Based on that volume bar you can tell someone big wanted a piece of gas today. Whoever it was could’ve gotten in alot cheaper if they took me out for some tacos. I like em 90% of the time crunchy and 10% soft.
I’ll post later What Didn’t Work For Me Today and some picks that hopefully will work tomorrow and beyond.
