Patience. I’m waiting to strike for the next trade. I’m in cash looking for a tradeable bottom tomorrow for the indexes. The Fed speaks tomorrow. If the morning is weak, I just might be buying it.

Last week (November 14th) I said:

“As far as new trends nothing looks all that good right now, but the few sectors showing promise are Retail (yes if you can believe that), Healthcare (that one is totally believable), and Commercial REITs (boring).”

On Fast Money tonight it was mentioned as a possible trade. JWN – Nordstrom’s actually raised guidance and popped afterhours tonight. I think JWN is an out and out buy right here. You got a triple bottom in the stock going back to October 2005, August-September 2006, and the current price in November 2007. Also what’s good for Nordstrom’s is good for JOEZ – Joes Jeans, which I am also long.

A bulletin board stock that may have turned the corner (also in the retail sector, but food) is CFPC. I first heard about CFPC from StockTiger.com. StockTiger is a great site that specializes in breakouts and breakdowns. They have been riding CFPC for better or for worse now for months and I’ve been keeping an eye on it ever since. I recently went with GMCR – Green Mountain Coffee, but now I’m seeing CFPC in my scans. I think it may find its legs starting right here – VERY LONG TERM STORY – not a short term trade.

DAR – I bought into DAR today. I like the business alot.
-Broke a trendlne to the upside on great volume.
-Buy signal today on one of my systems didn’t hurt either.

The retail sector flopped with Tar-get.. but Nordstroms impressed. Tomorrow Gap reports (GPS).

They have had an up/down year.

    3q profits of .28 – .30

GAP topped expectations for seven consecutive quarters.

    Calls are relatively cheap.
