I’m actually posting this on Saturday, but yesterday was pretty good.

First I want to say hi to a StockRake reader down in Auckland! I hope to visit NZ someday soon.

Moreover, I wish I still held a fine New Zealand stock, HSVLY. I’ve owned and mentioned it before. If there is one thing you can see about my trading style is that I lack patience. HSVLY is up about 20% since I previously owned and sold and it looks like its breaking upwards here. Plus it has a huge dividend.

ICOC - I was itching to see ICOC move and it did. 7% yesterday. Nice. Bought two days ago.

ONT - Had a huge move as much as 15% on the day, but finished at 10%. This stock is red hot.

USEG - Finished up 6.8%. I’m up 1.7% on this one. Bought yesterday.

TIVO - Bought TIVO yesterday. Up fractionally. The daily stock pattern looks good.

SMDI - I finally got into SMDI based on the inverted head and shoulders pattern I’ve mentioned before. I think if Don Imus signs with SIRI and/or the XMSR merger goes through these stocks could get a tailwind and SMDI benefits from it as well. Since the chart appears to be at a tipping point I think the play is good.

CRIS - I’m up very fractionally, but it does look like its about to clear some new highs. The golden cross of 50/200 ma’s occurred 3/13/07, however, CRIS hasn’t always responded well to the “golden cross.” The last good golden cross happened in 2003. Where CRIS went from $1.55 to a high of $6.4. Pretty nice. I don’t know if we’ll see that as the current market up move is not going to be what we saw in 2003, however I think upside pricing is in CRIS’ future.

I think the market will continue upwards next week going into more important earnings. Major indexes are still lower than where they were on February 27th, however, all the international indexes that tanked on that day are back above their previous highs.
I’m currently long with index funds and TWM. I’m looking to get into some QLD though as well.
