Being Long. 3% in R2K and 1.6% in NDX. A nice day.

GSS – Small day.

URME – Didn’t explode like I thought it could today. On another note, I sorta went into panic mode today on the stock when it was down 4% and I put in a sell order. I tried to cancel it, but it was too late. I got out of it in a dumb move. In fact, I was kinda upset about it. However, those feelings are washed away after I saw the afterhours action in newly bought position of BUF.

TIVO – Had a nice day. Still looks good.

BWLRF – Its about to clear new highs. I think we see the new highs by Friday then it gives a little back. The stock is way undervalued and this time, I’m holding onto it. I think I say that everytime then dump it days later. I bought into today when BWLRF was up about 4%. If you’ve been reading SR lately you know I’m stalking this stock.

USEG – Fractional give back after yesterdays 6% loss.

BUF – Whoohoo! 15% gain afterhours on this one. The after hours action is pushing BUF to a new ALL TIME HIGH. This will start to perk up on all the momo trading screens tomorrow morning. This one is like ONT. Nobody is talking about BUF on the blogosphere yet.
Glad I got in yesterday.

MINRAD International, Inc. today announced it has received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market Sojourn(TM) (Sevoflurane) inhalation anesthetic.

CHTR – Today I purchased May 5 dollar calls. Its a risky play, but I’m looking for a double in the options from the .05 buy price when the speculators roll in and bid them up. There isn’t alot of volume in CHTR options and the other choice was ITM 2.5 calls. I thought about it, but decided that if the chart is the coiled spring that I think it is and the market continues its push higher. CHTR might see the kind of euphoric action that has happened to alot of stocks when announcing earnings lately. CHTR announces tomorrow before the open and the pattern CHTR is displaying is really nice on both a weekly and daily basis. Everything is pointing higher. Moreover, media/cable stocks are all over the news. Cramer, says getting the sector right is 50% of the trade. I agree that getting the sector right is a HUGE tailwind and the sector is right on this one. Now if the number is good, I think CHTR can clear the $3.5 resistance line really fast – thats about a 10% pop from todays close. Think about it, CHTR popped 7%+ today pre-earnings on a gap up. CVC is going private and popped 8% today. Thats the kind of pop I want to see tomorrow.

CHTR is one of those stocks that I was in early before everyone else, but sold it early because of the lack of movement (not enough instant gratification). However, CHTR then went and ran up over 100% after I bailed. Check the date of the post here, here, and here.

So overall most of the day was involved with the index trading, the extra oompf in BWLRF. I sold out of the index funds this morning, but went back to the long side in the afternoon for the continuation of the upmove tomorrow. I have to look forward to the price action in BUF and CHTR. Remind me not to sell BUF right away? Thanks. :)
