Being short. The market finally gave me what I was looking for. Down movement. The June 47 QQQQ puts that I’ve been buying like wildfire were really volatile today. I was down about 31% yesterday and they rallied over 70% today leaving me with about 24% gain. I originally posted 17% gain, but it looks like it was 24%. Sometimes I post hastily during the day as soon as I sell and I do a quick calculation. XPO actually lost 11% and I stated 8%. XPO dropped as soon as I put in my order. There were no buyers really for anything after 1pm.

So 24% was nice and I think I may have sold early. Its my MO at this point. For this reason I still hold the July 47 Puts and they are up 34% as of the close. It would be nice to see this go up to the 50% mark or higher. If we see more selling tomorrow I will likely cover em up.

The index funds were tremendous today as well. The R2K put in a near 3% move, the NDX 2%, the Dow 2%, the SPX 2.7%. So the NDX lagged the others. A relatively rare occurrence.

FCEL – I sold it today and took my gain. Another calculation error on this one. The gain was 6%.

I continue to hold index funds short and my July QQQQ 47 puts.
