Being Short.

Obviously the QQQQ put options were a great move. I locked in 34% today, however, I didn’t sell my index funds or QID. That was a good move as well because the market closed lower than morning cut off time. I had a feeling we were going lower, but with options the gains rack up so fast on every tick down or up that it makes me want to snatch the money while its on the table. Sidenote: I hate typing QQQQ, I normally would just say Q, but I don’t want newbies to think I’m talking about Quest. So with the puts flying and the market dropping and then stalling for awhile, I sold out. However, those same puts closed out with a 52.86% gain from yesterdays close. That would’ve been a little nicer. 18% nicer.

I’m still short with index funds and I loaded up with more QID near the close today. I’ll look to sell it tomorrow morning. I was afraid after todays action that I would be paying a premium for the puts and I didn’t want to go that route.

The index funds did close to 2% today, while the QID was up 2.23%. Nice moves and I expect more tomorrow morning.
